Music – For some patients they enjoy listening to music because this can distract them from hearing the buzzing, ringing and whistling sound. Hearing a relaxing or soothing sound is their only way to relax and have a peace of mind. And for others they prefer playing an instrument. They even suggest picking an instrument that you wanted to play and learn its melody. Most of the patients who experience this are suggesting that you should never have a moment of silence because that is the time when the sound gets louder and louder which can really make you deaf.
Shower – Some people are relieved every time they take a shower. The noise of the shower is overlapping the sound of tinnitus. This can help for at least 20-30 minutes. Of course, it is not advisable to have a shower for a long time. Maybe it should be done if the ringing in your ears is very loud just to help you distracted.
Sleep – Although, patient who suffer from this symptom have a hard time in sleeping but sleep is still helpful because you can’t hear the sound every time you are asleep. For those who are having a hard time in doing this, they can take a sleeping pill, meditation, and other medication that can induce sleep. This can also help in changing your mood especially if you’re anxious and stressed today. A good sleep can change everything and can give you a lot of benefits.
